Spreading Equality and Addressing Racial Disparity

Spreading Equality and Addressing Racial Disparity

“Not everything that is faced can be changed, but nothing can be changed until it is faced.” - James Baldwin

Thanks To Kristin and @silverinthecity for this partnership and caring enough to be apart of the change!

Silver In the City is a Gift Store on Massachusetts Avenue and grab an Equality shirt. 25% of the proceeds will go to their Silver Linings Fund, which provides micro grants (anywhere from $500-$1500) to grassroots organizations dealing with issues of racial disparity in the inner city!

I was able to sit as one of the judges in the application process which main focus was equity and inclusion for BLACK PEOPLE, making sure that WE are in positions of leadership and in positions directly involved with the planning and implementation of these programs. All I can say is:

Thank you for all the love! Your continued support has lead to us being able to be apart of the change and move the needle forward in the mission to mobilize people, ideas and investments to make Indianapolis a community where all individuals have equitable opportunity to reach their full potential, no matter place, race or identity

These grants were awarded to
organizations who were tackling homelessness, access to fresh locally grown food, maternal/infant care, and Advocacy and Education programs for BLACK AND BROWN PEOPLE.
