Meet The Owners

The journey began in 2016 when Elijah and Ambra Norwood initiated the business concept in their Indianapolis basement. Initially, it was a humble freelancing effort centered around selling Elijah's artwork on Etsy. The moniker  "22StarvingArtist" emerged as Elijah, a 22-year-old artist, navigated the challenges of being a budding creative.

From 2017 to 2023, the company transitioned from freelance efforts to a fully operating LLC. That road included a diverse offering of programming, workshops and product sales. In 2023, 22StarvingArtist embarked on the Artful Rhythms Tour, a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion  initiative providing access to the arts for underserved communities.
