Meet Your Instructor

Elijah Stephen began his journey with the djembe in 2014 at Western Kentucky University, quickly developing a deep connection with this dynamic instrument. His skills were further refined under the mentorship of a Berklee College of Music graduate, focusing on both the technical and cultural aspects of drumming.

With eight years of experience at Bongo Boy Music School, Elijah has honed his expertise in drum circle dynamics and djembe techniques. Since 2018, he has been sharing this knowledge through teaching, focusing on both traditional rhythms and contemporary approaches.
